Following my last post, you probably got the message that I'm completely psyched about the progress we're making to our house, and this comes with a whole barrel full of excited house decorating butterflies that like to flit and fly all around Pinterest and my brain.
You'd think having had almost, wait for it, 10 months since putting in our first offer, I'd have come up with a detailed plan of what I want to do with each room. Uh huh. No.
I'm as indecisive as a tadpole.
I've had firm, solid, 100% doing ideas, that I now hate. What is with that??
Anyway, I know we'll get there (and I say we'll just to be courteous really, because James wouldn't know mid-century if it hit him in the face and knocked him back to the 1950's. Plus we have a sweet deal worked out regarding the TV choice and the rest of the house... kinda feel like I'm winning that one!) so I know I'll get there. With JD's 'uh-huh's', 'sure's' and 'I frickin hate that's'.
Oh that boy!
So, I'm crazy about mid-century. Plus I love saying mid-century. Mid-century mid-century.
I think it's a really American term, and us Brit's normally just say 1950's. Old chap. But I'm saying mid-century. Because, as mentioned above, I love it.
I've put together this incredible little mid-century wishlist, that I shall longfully stare and sigh over until I own each and every item. I've already snapped up that Ikea cushion. 1 down, 9 to go.
1. Lampshade, 2. Retro Art Print, 3. Orla Kiely Cushion, 4. Rhino Planter, 5. Orla Kiely Plant Pots, 6. Black & White cushion, 7. Side Table, 8. Retro Clock, 9. Sagaform Storage Jar, 10. Green Arm Chair
Here's to house dreaming. It's pretty much the best ever. That chair?? Oh my.
What do you guys think? Loving the mid-century, or are you praying at your screen for a timemachine?
